Bristol: Hi,my cat brought in a baby pigeon last night - pretty banged up, but it has survived the night and is looking 'perky' so wondering what we do? It is half way between 'chick fluff/down' and feathers. I haven't seen any nests in the local area and do not want to leave it out in the hope that the parents will return as the area is full of cats.
Do you know of any centres in the Bristol area that I can take it? Also looking on information on what I should feed it? Hope you can help. Regards Jamie

He/she is very thin and bedraggled and needs help. I have contacted our local RSPCA who asked if I could catch it and put it in a shed. I am afraid it wll get hit by a car. This has been going on for a few weeks now and it seems desperate. Can anyone help please?

Grays, Essex: Dear Sirs, I love my dog Mia very much she is a brindle staff with a half white collar and chest, she is 4 1/2 years old. I am devastated to be contacting rehoming centers for her because I am due to have my home repossessed in the next few months and am in a panic in case I cannot find a really good home for her by then. I will be staying with friends who have cats, which Mia wants to chase. I have contacted the RSPCA but they have a 6-month wait list. Please can you help/advise me? ps. When I successfully rehome Mia I would like to show my appreciation by volunteering at the center who help me. I am interested becoming a home checker/follow-up home checker. I live in Grays & work in Romford. Thank you Naomi 07717 266 714

Warwick: We have a french Lop rabbit,we were told HE was a boy but we are not sure if he is a she, anyway this is not the problem, we have an enclosed garden and therefore like to let him run free along with our guinea pigs when we are in the garden which is a lovely sight, we placed logs around the bottom of the fence and he has never really bothered to dig as he has the freedom of the garden but just recently he has been more and more determined to escape we have blocked any new attempts but fear it is only a matter of time before he is successful, I don't like to see animals caged and this is bringing us nearer to the option of re-homing him/her to somebody who has other rabbits and maybe a big run (he lives in a house in the shed and has a cat flap leading to a 3'x3' pen)is there anything you can recommend other than keeping him locked away. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reading: We have a 7year old boxer extremely loving who has a heart condition (since puppyhood)is on tablets Atenolol. we are moving out to Southern Spain in October,we don't know what to do about him as we know think it will be too much for him. He has recently started to dribble constantly like a tap, whereby we have to put a towel to catch it - the vets are not sure what is happening and are doing some tests. We believe he is in some sort or pain as he is also acting scared. Do you know of any place where we could leave him - we would want him loved as he has always been and would make a substanstial donation to anyone who looked after him. He is insured with petplan at the moment so the insurance if continued would cover his medical history. He is great with all other animals and children, very good around the house is trained and obedient. Any advise would be really appreciated. Thanks Judy

St. Osyth (near Clacton-on-Sea, Essex): There's a lovely young 'Gypsy' Colt all alone in a field behind my house. A very good natured, placid and friendly horse. He's intelligent and patient, but very sad. The owner hardly ever comes to the field. I've been feeding the horse (who seems to be in good condition) every day with hay, carrots and apples -- and trying to keep him company. I'm worried about what the poor horse's future may be as there were 7 to 8 other horses in the same field and all but this one have been removed. I can't afford to buy the horse, nor have the facilities to house him, but I'm thinking of leaving a note for the owner on the fence and asking him to ring me if he wants to sell the horse. If he does want to sell him has anyone any idea of how I could make contact with someone who wants to buy him? It's possible, if the owner wants to sell, that the horse would not be too expensive because he seems to be largely abandoned. Very concerned for him.

gtr manchester: Hi, i've been fostering a teacup yorkie who my husband nearly ran over for 2 weeks now. We took her too petmedics where they checked her over and gave her some medication for head tilt. she is very old approx 15 yrs, we asked to foster her becuase we know she has been looked after and the owner will probably be frantic, this and because petmedics say that she would be put down after 7 days coz of her age. We didn't want this at all!! Our 2 weeks was up 3 days ago so we contacted petmedics to arrange the next step, they said just take her to the dog home that they said2 weeks previous would put her down!! I'm deeply upset by this but also i'm upset that i have a beautiful little yorkie who's so nicely natured and loving and i know we can't keep her as we work and she really needs a companion 24hrs a day. Please somebody help me as i really have no cue which way to turn. thanx Lynette contact: lynette.page-evans@ntlworld.com
